The member representing Ibesikpo Asutan State Constituency,Rt.Hon.(Elder )Aniekan Uko has lauded the 6th Assembly for the speedy passage of the Physically challenged Persons bill, maintaining that the bill is one of such that has caught global attention.
Elder Uko made this known to a cross section of pen movers who cornered him in his office after yesterday's plenary.
For the Ibesikpo Asutan jinx breaker,it has always been his dream to be alive to when the physically challenged would be given a sense of belonging, and he was happy to see it come to pass under the instrumentality of the 6th assembly.
"Am exceedingly delighted to be a part of this peoples oriented bill.I have always been a strong advocate that one day,the physically challenged will see themselves as part and parcel of the society.Even when I was the speaker, one of my SA was a physically challenged and I never regretted his services during the brief stint.Outside the SA,I occasionally play host to most of them in my domain and they were always very happy"
The lawmaker thanked his members for the importance they have accorded the bill and maintained the even posterity will judge them(the 6th assembly) well.
