32-YEAR WAIT OVER AS ENUGU RANGERS WIN NIGERIA PREMIER LEAGUE

JUBILANT RANGERS SUPPORTERS CELEBRATE 
After waiting for thirty two long years, Rangers Football Club of Enugu, were today crowned champions of the Nigeria Professional Footbal League. 

In their last league match played in Enugu, Chisom Egbuchulam netted an impressive hat-trick to sink El-Kanemi Warriors 4-0.

Coach Imama Amapakabo’s men could have emerged champions after defeating Ikorodu United in Abeokuta, but they had to wait till the last game after Rivers United played a 0-0 draw versus Abia Warriors in Port Harcourt.
A CROSS SECTION OF RANGERS PLAYERS
Rangers finished the season on 60 points, three points better than second place Rivers United who bagged 57 points. FC Ifeanyi Ubah of Anambra and Wikki Tourists of Bauchi finished third and fourth respectively.

Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry FC, Warri Wolves and Ikorodu United join disgraced Giwa FC in vacating the league.

Defending champions, Enyimba FC of Aba finished in tenth position.
