Former Aide to A'Ibom Governor flares journalists in Uyo

The immediate past Senior Special Assistant to the Governor Udom Emmanuel on Technical Matters and Due Process, Engr. Uffot Ebong, has incurred the wrath of journalists in Akwa Ibom State as he publicly for ‘embarrassed’ them at the Governor's Office Annex, Uyo, during the "bread sensitization seminar."
According to reports, the Engr. Ufot Ebong who was Chairman of the occasion, when approached by journalists for brief interview after the event, flared up and accused them of bad reportage of the 'AKEES press briefing' held recently in Uyo which he attended as guest.
"You people reported nonsense. Is that what I said? Why did you people put words in my mouth? Get away from here or…", he was quoted as saying.
The situation nearly snowballed into a fracas before former Special Assistant to Governor on Media, Mr. Essien Ndueso, waded in to urge journalists to leave him (Ufot Ebong) alone.

The journalists who covered the event have demanded an unreserved apology from Engr. Uffot Ebong or risk receiving zero-coverage of his Bureau’s activities if he makes it into the about-to-be constituted state executive council.
