Court orders sheep to be sheltered at orphanage

In Ghana, an Accra District Court has ordered for a lost but found sheep to be granted shelter at the Osu Children's Home.
The presiding judge, Stephen Owusu, made the order after a 45-year-old man, Kofi Asante, was arraigned for stealing a ram in front of Sikkens Ghana Limited on the Graphic Road on September 16. According to Kofi Asante, his decision to steal the ram was because its owner was nowhere to be found.
He said he saw the sheep roaming and decided to steal it. Asante said when he was caught by witnesses he told them that it was a woman who gave him the ram for safe keeping.
Fortunately, the court asked him to sign a bond to be of good behaviour for two years in default pay GHC1,200.
