PROSTITUTES TAKEOVER NYANYA MARKET

ONE OF THE SHOPS
Officers of the Nigeria Police reportedly arrested suspected prostitutes operating in market stalls at the popular Nyanya Market in Abuja.

The gory discovery was made after a routine check on the market area and the evacuation of street traders at the market on Wednesday, September 28.
Some council officials made a discovery of shops that have been turned into residential houses, schools and ‘red light’ by the prostitutes.
According to the chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) Abdullahi Candido, the wrongful use of the place has attracted hawking along the road side, creating an unhygienic environment in the process.
During the raid, the security agents said they mistakenly ran into one of the prostitutes and a client, but she claimed that he was only a lover who came to pay a visit. Two men and three ladies who were engaging in sexual activities inside a shop were eventually arrested by the security men who carried out the raid.
